- As a Panel Process Engineer, you will be in charge of evaluating and implementing novel materials and advanced process development for high-performance display panels in Apple products.
- This requires field tests, simulation, and panel validation, from the level of proof of concept to the productivity verification.
- Other job functions include overseeing and co-developing the equipment used in Thin film, Photo Lithography, or Etching processes to fulfill the development of advanced displays.
- Work closely with the Apple HQ cross-functional Teams in California and Apple industrial partners in Asia to develop panels & TFT devices for Apple products
- Lead the optimization of the TFT & panel manufacturing process for future products
- Exploring new materials and new technology in enhancing performance or enabling new functions for next-generation Apple products, by directly working with vendors and Apple in-region teams
- Conduct numerical modeling, mechanical simulation, and device simulation with FEA or TCAD for the product design, optimization, and failure analysis
PhD or an MS + 3 years in engineering & science
Experienced or has good background knowledge of flat panel display material, equipment, process, metrology, and TFT/MOSFET process-device integration for new product.
Experienced in one of the following fields:
- TFT/MOSFET device engineering and modeling (TCAD, SPICE)
- Material science & physics, and familiar with the tools of analysis & measurement
- Mechanical engineering, Structural engineering, and structural FEA analysis using simulation tools
English written and verbal communication & presentation skills
Working experience in the display and related field, and being familiar with the TFT/MOSFET process, TFT/MOSFET equipment, Fab operation, and R&D path finding.
Self-motivated and willing to take on challenges to explore new fields.
The willingness and ability to travel across the country or internationally.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
