Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.
Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.
The Business Planning and Commercialization team owns the business generation and commercial strategy for all of Google Cloud Products and Services including Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace, and X Alphabet capabilities that are commercialized through Google Cloud.
We create and implement standardized, scalable monetization strategies, including pricing, bundling, packaging, discounting, and offers for all products and services. We also proactively drive innovation and cross-platform insights in monetization strategy and commercial policies, leading priority strategic commercial, market intelligence, and monetization initiatives for Cloud CEO/Leadership. We ensure executable pricing operationalization, collaborating with
cross-functional partners for
GTM operationalization and long-term automation.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $150000 - $217000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional prioritization of packaging and pricing architectures for Google Cloud Products, securing alignment with executive leadership.
- Architect and implement scalable business generation frameworks and policies specifically for core AI product portfolios.
- Support the end-to-end commercialization of products and solutions, with a specific focus on AI capabilities and strategic cross-cloud AI initiatives.
- Develop and leverage competitive and customer insights to inform business generation strategies.
- Establish pricing policies and structures across customer segments and channel structures.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
- Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple projects.
- Experience in product strategy, financial analysis, business generation strategy, economics, executive communication, and go-to-market strategies.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in roles that involve advanced product economic and value analysis such as product finance, product management, venture capital, private equity, M&A, corporate strategy, management consulting etc.
- Expertise in value pricing and engaged pricing in the Cloud/IT technology space.
- Understanding of the business value drivers of Cloud/IT infrastructure products.
- Track record of working with and challenging the thinking of product/sales organizations on initiatives related to product/solutions monetization and commercialization.
- Excellent technical fluency in Cloud infrastructure and the ability to translate technical features into commercial value drivers.
