Job description

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

The Boise Strategic Program Management Office (SPMO) plays a meaningful role in helping our Idaho fabs deliver on their mission. We work at the intersection of manufacturing, engineering, and planning to unlock capacity, improve efficiency, and reduce cost. If you enjoy solving complex problems that have real factory impact, this is a team where your work truly matters.
As an Idaho US Expansion Program Manager, you will lead high‑impact programs that directly increase fab output and reduce cost. This role sits at the center of cross‑functional execution, translating uncertainty into disciplined action. You will partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, and planning leaders to drive measurable gains in wafer output, equipment performance, and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead site Max‑Out (MXT) programs to increase wafer output using existing toolsets while protecting yield and quality
  • Identify and close fab constraints using capacity heatmaps, workstation gap reviews, and structured escalation
  • Drive OEE‑based benchmarking across tools and workstations and sponsor projects to close performance gaps
  • Coordinate cross‑functional execution with Process and Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, IE, Planning, and global partners to ensure accurate capacity modeling and execution
  • Support cost programs including TIQ, Capital and Reuse, and Cash Cost through project tracking, benchmark reporting, and customer engagement
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, or equivalent semiconductor industry experience
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of front‑end fab operations and efficiency tradeoffs
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving, analytical, and program management skills
  • Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams and drive execution in complex environments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with program or project management methodologies
  • Knowledge of theory of constraints and fab capacity optimization
  • Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with semiconductor data structures
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools, Tableau, Power Automate, and AI applications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑changing environment
