Job description

Meta is in the middle of a fundamental shift in how we work. Agent Transformation Accelerator (AtA) is the company-wide initiative driving this transformation: embedding AI into our tools, teams, and processes so every person at Meta — regardless of role — can work smarter, faster, and with more impact. We are looking for an HR Director to serve as the strategic HR leader for AtA. This role will shape and execute the people strategy that enables Meta's transition to an AI-native company. You will partner directly with senior leadership across Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and cross-functional teams to build the organizational muscle, talent frameworks, and change management approaches that make AI-native culture real — not aspirational. This is not a traditional HR role. It requires someone who can operate at the intersection of people strategy, technology transformation, and organizational design — and who has experience navigating undefined problem spaces by establishing structure, prioritizing decisions, and driving clarity across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior HRBP to AtA leadership, aligning people strategy with AI adoption goals and providing strategic counsel on organizational design and workforce planning
  • Design and implement cross-functional, matrixed organizational models spanning Engineering, Product, Design, and Data Science to support the AI transformation initiative workstreams
  • Lead enterprise-level change management for AI-driven workforce transformation, developing frameworks for how roles, leveling, and career paths evolve as AI collapses job family boundaries
  • Drive strategic workforce planning that anticipates and addresses how AI adoption reshapes headcount needs, skill requirements, and team composition across Meta
  • Build the comprehensive talent strategy to attract, develop, and retain high-impact talent, partnering with Recruiting to define hiring profiles for emerging AI-native roles (e.g., prompt engineers)
  • Champion and establish mechanisms to measure the development of AI-native practices across all functions, scaling learning and knowledge-sharing programs
  • Design and implement learning and development programs to upskill the existing workforce on AI tools and practices, including internal AI assistants, code generation tools, and agentic workflows
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Director and VP-level leaders, representing the HR perspective in the Agent Transformation Accelerator program governance to influence strategic decisions on people, org, and culture
  • Build and lead the dedicated dedicated HR team for AtA and drive alignment across HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) (Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Employee Relations) to deliver integrated solutions

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in HR business partnership, organizational design, or talent strategy, with at least 5 years at the Director level or equivalent
  • Experience as a strategic HRBP to senior technology leaders (VP+) during large-scale organizational transformation
  • Track record of designing and executing org-wide change management for technology-driven workforce shifts
  • Experience with organizational design in matrixed, cross-functional environments
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at the executive level without direct authority
  • Experience building and leading HR teams of 5+ people Experience in a technology company navigating AI/ML adoption or similar disruptive technology transformation
  • Track record of building organizational change programs that achieved measurable adoption at scale
  • Familiarity with AI tools, agentic workflows, or developer productivity ecosystems
  • Experience designing new career frameworks or leveling systems for emerging roles
  • Advanced degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business, or related field
  • Background supporting engineering, product, or infrastructure organizations at scale (5,000+ employees)
