Amazon Canada's Hardlines team is seeking a self-driven Vendor Manager to join our dynamic team. Vendor Managers work directly with strategic vendors to enhance value, selection, and convenience for our customers while driving profitability and topline performance across their categories.
About the Role
As a Vendor Manager, you'll leverage customer obsession and data-driven analytics to develop creative solutions that drive business growth. You'll manage key manufacturer relationships on Amazon.ca and collaborate with
cross-functional teams including site merchandising, buying,
pricing, inventory management, operations, online marketing, and finance to optimize performance for our vendor partners.

pricing, and business analytics.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead key categories and brand relationship for Amazon.ca
• Drive business growth through strategic vendor and brand relationship management

• Optimize selection, catalog management, and inventory levels
• Generate forecasts and manage product launches

A day in the life
As a Vendor Manager, you'll start your day reviewing key business metrics and addressing any immediate vendor issues. You might spend the morning analyzing performance data to identify growth opportunities before joining a negotiation call with a strategic vendor. After lunch, you'll collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to plan upcoming promotions, then meet with finance to review
pricing strategies. Throughout the day, you'll respond to vendor inquiries, coordinate with
cross-functional partners, and continuously look for ways to improve selection and profitability.

- 2+ years of
account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools
- Experience with software and editing tools (including HTML, Excel and SQL)
- Experience in online retail
- Experience in
account management, project/program management, or buying
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
