The Transport Libraries team within
AWS Cryptography builds and maintains open-source
TLS and
QUIC libraries (s2n-
tls, s2n-
quic) that protect data in transit across all of
AWS. We're looking for an experienced software developer passionate about practical cryptography, open source, and building at scale. You'll work on post-quantum cryptography, leverage GenAI to accelerate secure transitions, and help ensure every byte moving in and out of the cloud is protected. Key job responsibilities
Own the full software development lifecycle — defining, prioritizing, designing, building, and testing new features for
AWS Cryptography.
Deliver foundational cryptographic libraries integrated across all
AWS front-door services.
Engage internal and external customers to identify gaps in data-in-transit protection and translate those into new features and products.
Build solutions at scale to protect cloud workloads against "harvest now, decrypt later" (HNDL) threats.
Leverage GenAI technologies to safely and efficiently transition
AWS services to post-quantum cryptography.

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
