Job description
To support our 3.8B+ users, Meta develops and deploys scale infrastructure globally, across data centers, networks, compute, and storage. Global Supply Chain Technology Sourcing owns the sourcing strategy development, external business relationships, internal engineering partnerships, and execution from new product ideas to scale deployment. The team combines commercial, technical, and operations/manufacturing expertise to enable advances in critical infrastructure domains, including artificial intelligence and custom silicon development. Meta is seeking a leader who creates disruptive value by influencing and executing our memory and storage roadmap that will optimize cost and risk across the supply chain. You possess the business and technical capabilities to influence infrastructure memory and storage strategy and drive execution. In this role, you will be responsible for leading sourcing across our memory and storage portfolio, including the commercial, operational and technical performance of our various DRAM, SSD, HDD and related technologies and supplier base. Together with your team and numerous internal partners, you will be responsible for strategy, capacity, material availability, and cost.
Responsibilities
- Partner with our internal stakeholders to influence and align our memory and storage roadmap, product launch and partner strategy
- Engage leaders and C-Suite executives at our suppliers to actively manage the relationships, and drive program and technology deliverables, commercial terms and supply agreements. Drive continuous improvement across cost, supply and other metrics
- Stay up to date with industry trends within the overall infrastructure space, and particularly with AI/compute/storage racks and the evolution of various memory and storage technologies that are embedded in them
- Manage supply chain risks, create optionality and ensure the timely delivery of quality infrastructure products globally
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that address the unique needs of our supply chain and manufacturing at scale
- Grow and lead an industry leading supply chain team, developing talent at all levels
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years experience leading and managing teams within an engineering or supply chain organization
- Demonstrated management and leadership experience growing and developing a team, leading performance improvement, creating a vision, and following through with strategy and execution in the infrastructure technology space
- Understanding of memory/storage product development, application and lifecycle across AI, compute, storage and scale data centers
- Partner with your team to drive supplier proposals, RFP/RFI/RFQ and business awards. Resolve all commercial queries arising from the quote process
- Demonstrated experience in successfully negotiating large, complex agreements covering a wide range of technologies
- Experience in developing complex supply chain strategies, securing cross functional leadership buy-in, and driving results
- Ability to create cross functional partnerships and enabling the success of others
- Experience in NPI launches, product ramp, sustaining support, and end-of-life cycle for compute hardware products in a large-scale environment
- Demonstrated experience in hiring, training, and developing sourcing and supply chain teams Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- MBA or Master of Science degree in an engineering field
