As a Business Intelligence Analyst within the Operational Excellence Analytics team, you will serve as a Strategic Advisor and Lead Analyst for the Compute Trust and Safety (T&S) organization. You will take ownership of our executive reporting and operational insights, handling ambiguous, high-visibility, and high-urgency analytical requests. Your work will directly impact our operations by identifying and sizing operational improvement opportunities, developing scenario plans, and establishing robust performance metrics. You are expected to operate with minimal guidance, leveraging a full spectrum of problem solving skills—from descriptive and diagnostic to predictive and prescriptive. Beyond technical execution, you will advocate data-driven decision-making by crafting compelling narratives and influencing trust and safety leadership across cross-functional domains.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead and execute complex, high-visibility analytics requests for the Compute Trust and Safety organization, navigating ambiguity with minimal guidance.
- Manage and evolve executive reporting and operational insights, ensuring leadership has clear, actionable visibility into operational health and risk.
- Identify, size, and strategically propose operational improvement opportunities, utilizing robust scenario planning and capacity modeling for human review operations.
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to trust and safety leadership, analyzing multifaceted situations to determine the precise measures, metrics, and data required to build and support strategic opinions.
- Translate complex analytical findings into compelling, data-driven narratives that influence decision-makers and drive policy and operational changes.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics or Finance), or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics.
- Experience in statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for advanced diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive modeling.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business, Data Science, Operations, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Experience working within trust and safety, risk management, or complex human review operations analytics.
- Experience defining metrics, structuring ambiguous problems, and executing analytical projects from end-to-end.
- Track record of presenting complex data effectively to executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
