Senior Finance Manager, Amazon Web Services - Finance

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead the Connect AI Finance team within Applied AI Solutions (AAIS) Finance. This role will be a key member of AAIS Finance team, leading the area with fastest growth in the portfolio. This role works across the Amazon Connect business team to drive better understanding of growth opportunities, customer adoption trends, new product pricing opportunities, and break down blockers to grwoth. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage and develop the financial analysis processes for reporting on AWS Infrastructure capex and operating expenses.

- Partner with and proactively communicate across the finance community to coordinate a complex and interconnected series of deliverables.

- Support ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from finance executives.

- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.

- Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.

- Write and present narratives and analysis of AWS Infrastructure capital and operating expenditures to senior leadership.

- Lead financial controllership of AWS Infrastructure.

- Raise the bar on hiring, developing, and retaining the best talent to continue building our world class team of finance professional. - 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field - 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience
- 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up
- Experience leading and transforming highly effective organizations

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
