Gemini Live will be the go-to, top of mind multi-modal AI assistant destination for users who want to ask or show something to their AI assistant. We are enabling Live to give lightning fast responses for simple information seeking questions. Gemini Live will take learning experiences to a new level, by talking through your learning journey step-by-step with multi-modal shows and telling visuals to help with guided learning. Responsibilities
- Define and drive the front-end architecture to integrate Gemini Live as the most intelligent, natural, and indispensable real-time conversational assistant, unifying the voice product across App and Devices.
- Engineer an intuitive, discoverable multi-modal experience that ensures context and personalization are carried over seamlessly between chat and voice interactions, utilizing relevant visuals to enhance the experience.
- Drive the technical development of the non-verbal communication system to ensure low-latency performance to make the AI feel truly responsive and natural.
- Partner with GenAI and Model teams to integrate advanced model capabilities and establish necessary client-side instrumentation and quality rubrics to measure and maintain the naturalness and responsiveness of the Gemini Live experience.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- Experience in partnering with non-frontend teams (e.g., GenAI, Model, UX/Research) to integrate capabilities and translate complex requirements into working, user-facing features.
- Experience establishing instrumentation, quality rubrics, and debugging tools to measure and maintain the overall quality of the user experience.
- Ability to define and drive the technical front-end architectural goal for complex systems, ensuring the design is scalable, performant, and aligned with the product's North Star.
