Amazon.com Global Finance Operations (FinOps) seeks a Finance Manager to support the planning processes (3YF,
OP1,
OP2,
R&O) for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This position will be located in Seattle, WA and will partner with the FinOps FP&A teams, FinOps leadership team Finance Automation team to develop and enhance strategic and planning processes, creating scale and efficiencies in reporting and providing a world-class customer experience. Primary responsibilities will include financial analysis and driving planning/budgeting discipline and deliverables.
Key job responsibilities
- Managing financial models, communication and deadlines across the team for 3YF,
OP1,
OP2 and
R&O
- Partnering with Finance Automation and Finance Operations Services FP&A to ensure work-back schedules are aligned and deliverables are met, while standardizing and/or automating reporting
- Managing and enhancing the deliverables for the FinOps monthly business review
- Creating standardized processes for FinOps headcount, goal tracking/reporting and investment requests
- Performing deep dive analysis on existing processes and developing efficient/time-saving solutions
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of
SQL/
ETL- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples:
SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples:
Oracle,
SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
