As the Senior Lab Operations Manager, you will be the heartbeat of our floor-lab operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that every square foot of the lab is either optimized for maximum productivity or is a safe and effective platform for research experiments. You will sit at the center of a complex ecosystem, aligning internal engineering goals with external Vendor (xWf) execution. When the floor is humming, it is because of your systems; when there is a bottleneck, you are the one who clears it.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $256,000-$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Own the daily rhythm of the lab with an eye on increasing research velocity. Manage space allocation, equipment scheduling, and workflow optimization to ensure no engineer or technician is ever "blocked."
- Be the metric-owner for "Floor Productivity." Track and optimize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Lab Uptime, Station Utilization, and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
- Take the "wild west" of a Research and Development lab and instill rigorous 5S and Lean methodologies. Ensure that whether a tech is working on various partner robots or a Humanoid prototype, the environment and tools are consistent.
- Take feedback back and forth from operations to other teams to develop clear next steps for the team.
- Build the culture of "safety-first" high performance. Make sure agreed safety protocols are implemented.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in Google Workspace products.
Preferred qualifications:
- 6 years in Manufacturing Operations, Production Management, Factory Floor Management or equivalent physical environment.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent—specifically applied to Research and Development (R&D)/Prototyping environments.
- Proficiency in reading/creating dashboards and defining metrics.
- Ability to speak "Hardware" and "Software" to understand the difference between a firmware brick and a mechanical failure.
