Wi-Fi Software Engineer, Wireless Technologies & Ecosystems

As a Wi-Fi team member, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing and optimizing Wi-Fi networking subsystem software across Apple products including iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple TV. You will also be working across software stacks (Frameworks and API, UI, OS services, and drivers) to maintain and productize features collaboratively with the hardware and software teams within all of Apple. You will be expected to own, drive and execute the full software development cycle - from the ideation, design, implementation, to testing and measuring the success of the feature you develop. We want you to make intelligent compromises between several contradictory factors such as ease of use, performance and efficiency.

You have 5+ years experience developing software using C/C++, or Objective-C/Swift
You have experience with UNIX systems, and a deep understanding of operating system fundamentals
You have excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, programming and debugging skills
Understanding of TCP/IP suite of protocols
English language proficiency

You thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while driving multiple projects across teams
You are laser-focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers
You possess excellent collaboration skills
You are obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to tackle everyday problems in innovative ways
You have experience developing software using embedded SDKs, frameworks and/or BSP’s
You have experience with multi-layer SW architecture on embedded platforms
You have experience on Wireless connectivity SW development
You have exposure to networking protocols (TCP/IP, routing, etc.) , AI/ML tools
You have experience with C/C++ or Python
You have demonstrated experience with machine learning frameworks and applying ML techniques to real-world problems

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
