Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
The Play Store Distribution Infrastructure team powers the core of the Play Store app and makes it possible to install apps, games, services, and Operating System (OS) updates across the entire Android ecosystem. Play Store contributes to the success of developers, carriers, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) connecting them to their users. Our code ships weekly to billions of users and helps them have a magical experience with their devices. Play's track record of impactful launches is built on effective collaboration with key teams such as Android, Games, Ads, etc.
Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships.
