The Ring team is looking for a passionate and talented Sr.
Android Software Development Engineer who has experience building world-class mobile apps. You will be responsible for developing mobile applications that interact seamlessly with our devices and delight our customers.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and development of platform capabilities that support Ring mobile applications
- Lead the evolution of our application architecture, addressing deficiencies and driving scalability
- Develop platform tooling, SDKs, and shared components using
Android Studio,
Kotlin, AI, and a variety of other technologies
- Develop with performance, quality, and reliability in mind
- Collaborate with
cross-functional agile teams to design, build, and deliver platform solutions
- Ensure operational excellence by resolving platform issues, improving build systems, and maintaining
CI/CD pipelines
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation across the mobile platform
- Use AI to deliver efficiently — this can include generating code, unit tests, documentation, tickets, resolving defects, optimizing code, and much more

- Use the latest AI technologies to deliver high-quality tooling and automation
- Support and influence key decisions within the mobile platform and promote best coding practices
- Work closely with feature teams to ensure platform components are extensible, maintainable, and easy to adopt
- Collaborate with backend developers to define how our apps integrate with back-end services
- Write well-tested code using modern architectural principles

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
