What you'll do...
As a
Senior Analyst on Capacity Solutions, you will build and maintain relationships with shippers,
cross-functional teams, and transportation carriers. You will also serve as a key liaison between stakeholders requiring shipping services and carriers providing transportation solutions.
About the team:
The Capacity Solutions team plays a critical role in managing transportation capacity through Walmart’s Load Board, where we partner with carriers to secure coverage via load auctions and rate negotiation. We work closely with suppliers and
cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, resolve constraints, and keep freight moving efficiently across the network. Our team operates at the center of execution, balancing cost, service, and capacity to drive consistent transportation performance.
What you'll do...On the Capacity Solutions team, we focus on identifying and closing transportation capacity gaps by partnering with procurement to onboard primary carriers and strengthen network coverage. We evaluate enterprise transportation spend and deliver actionable recommendations and implementation plans to improve cost efficiency and performance. In collaboration with forecasting teams, we align capacity strategies with projected demand. Acting as a liaison between transportation operations, our private fleet, and strategic partners, we drive execution and continuous network optimization.
You’ll make an impact by:
Leveraging transportation and supply chain knowledge to identify capacity gaps and implement solutions that ensure consistent network coverage.
Partnering with procurement, suppliers, and carriers to onboard and develop capacity while addressing operational issues and performance concerns.
Analyzing transportation spend and performance trends to develop data-driven recommendations and execute cost and efficiency improvements.
Collaborating with forecasting and cross-functional teams to align capacity strategies with projected demand and business priorities.
Serving as a key point of contact between transportation operations, our private fleet, and strategic partners to resolve issues and maintain network stability.
Proactively identifying and resolving transportation disruptions, delays, and constraints to minimize impact to the broader supply chain.
Communicating effectively with stakeholders to address challenges, influence decisions, and drive alignment across teams
You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

You have working knowledge of tools such as Excel and are interested in developing skills in SQL and data analysis to better understand and manage transportation performance
You are coachable, open to feedback, and able to quickly learn and grow into increased responsibility

You have experience partnering across cross-functional teams and can effectively communicate with both operational and strategic stakeholders
You recognize the growing role of technology and AI in supply chain and are open to leveraging new tools to improve decision-making and efficiency
