We are seeking a Head of Marketing to lead ecosystem and consumer marketing for Fauna Robotics. In this role, you will own the strategy and execution that builds a thriving developer ecosystem, drives commercial partnerships, and positions Fauna as the defining brand in personal robotics — from early developer platforms through consumer launch.
You will lead a team that drives awareness, demand, and community engagement across developers, academic researchers, commercial partners, and consumers. This includes developer evangelism, university partnership marketing, industry event strategy, social media, and launch campaigns. You'll shape how the world experiences robots — not through hype, but through an authentic brand voice grounded in real capability.
Unlike traditional consumer electronics retail, this role requires building a 1P channel strategy from scratch — including hosted demonstrations, pop-up experiences, repair and service touchpoints, and scalable direct-to-customer channels for a new-to-world product category. You will own how customers first encounter, experience, and build trust with a robot before and after purchase.
The ideal candidate has built and scaled marketing for a hardware + software ecosystem platform and understands how to nurture a developer community from hundreds to hundreds of thousands while simultaneously building mainstream consumer anticipation through non-traditional channels.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and execute integrated marketing strategy spanning developer ecosystem, academic partnerships, commercial partners, and future consumer segments
- Build and lead a developer evangelism and community program supporting a rapidly growing fleet of deployed robots scaling from hundreds to thousands of units
- Own brand strategy and positioning — maintaining a differentiated voice in a landscape prone to overpromising
- Drive market research on the future of home, consumer preferences, and segmentation
- Develop and scale 1P channel strategy including hosted demos, pop-up experiences, repair/service touchpoints, and direct-to-customer engagement for a new-to-category product
- Plan and execute industry events, media moments, and launch campaigns that build cadence toward consumer product introduction
- Drive university partnership marketing and research community engagement to position Fauna as the preferred platform for human-centric robotics research
- Develop
go-to-market strategies for each hardware generation targeting distinct customer segments (developers, researchers, commercial, consumer)
- Partner with product, science, and business development teams to translate technical milestones into compelling public narratives
- Manage commercial partner marketing relationships and co-marketing opportunities across entertainment, hospitality, and logistics verticals
- Lead social media strategy with regular content showcasing real robot capability and progress
- Coordinate with Amazon corporate communications and public policy teams on messaging alignment
- Build and manage a high-performing marketing team from the ground up
About the team
Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is building capable, safe, and genuinely delightful robots for everyday life. Our goal is simple: make robots people actually want to live and interact with in everyday human spaces.
We believe that future won’t arrive until building for robotics becomes far more accessible. Today, too much effort is spent reinventing the fundamentals. We’re changing that by developing tightly integrated hardware and software systems that make it faster, safer, and more intuitive to create real-world robotic products.
Our work spans the full stack: mechanical design, control systems, dynamic modeling, and intelligent software. The focus is not just functionality, but experience. We’re building robots that feel responsive, expressive, and genuinely useful.
At Fauna, you’ll work at the frontier of this space, helping define how robots move, manipulate, and interact with people in natural environments. It’s an opportunity to solve hard problems across hardware and software with a team focused on making robotics accessible and joyful to build.
If you care about making robotics real for everyone and building systems that are as delightful as they are capable, we’re interested in hearing from you.
