Member’s Mark is on a mission to redefine what private brands mean for millions of Sam’s Club members—and this role sits at the center of that transformation.
As Sr. Manager of Brand Strategy & Planning, you will shape and scale the long-term vision of Member’s Mark, ensuring it shows up as a differentiated, premium, and trusted brand across every touchpoint—especially within our rapidly growing digital ecosystem. This is a highly visible role where you’ll connect brand strategy to execution, influencing how members discover, engage with, and ultimately choose Member’s Mark.
You’ll operate as both a brand strategist and business driver—bringing together insights, storytelling, and cross-functional leadership to elevate brand perception, strengthen digital performance, and unlock the next phase of growth.
About the team:
The Member's Mark Brand Strategy & Operations team leads the development and activation of our brand vision. Serving as the central hub for brand strategy, planning, and execution, the team aligns cross-functional partners to ensure consistent brand presence across marketing, digital, and experiential platforms. This collaborative group drives business plans, monitors brand performance, and supports communication strategies that enhance customer engagement. With a focus on strategic leadership and operational excellence, the team fosters a results-oriented environment that advances brand growth and delivers value across multiple channels.
What you'll do...
Build and evolve the long-term brand strategy for Member’s Mark - Within your first 90 days, assess the current state of the brand across digital and physical touchpoints and define a clear, insight-driven point of view on where to focus to strengthen differentiation and member trust
- Develop and refine brand positioning and messaging, ensuring it is relevant, compelling, and consistently expressed across categories and channels
Create scalable storytelling frameworks that elevate the brand - Build and operationalize brand narratives and content standards that enable consistent, premium storytelling across teams—marketing, digital, and product development.
- Ensure every member-facing touchpoint reflects a cohesive and differentiated brand experience
Lead with insight and analytics to continuously improve performance - Use data to diagnose performance gaps, uncover opportunities, and refine brand strategies and storytelling
- Translate insights into clear actions that improve both brand equity and business outcomes
Drive cross-functional alignment and execution at scale - Partner across Marketing, Merchandising, Site, and Creative teams to ensure brand strategy is clearly understood and effectively executed
- Lead initiatives that improve how Member’s Mark is represented across campaigns, launches, and always-on experiences
Ensure brand consistency and quality across all executions - Review and guide creative output to ensure it aligns with brand standards and delivers against the intended strategy
- Elevate thinking from individual assets to cohesive, end-to-end brand experiences
Champion operational excellence and speed - Improve ways of working to enable faster, more consistent execution across teams
- Manage multiple high-impact initiatives, balancing long-term brand building with near-term business priorities
What You’ll Bring...
A track record of building and evolving brands that drive business results - Experience owning or shaping brand strategy, positioning, and go-to-market approaches in a retail, CPG, or eCommerce environment
- Ability to balance long-term brand building with immediate commercial impact
Strong strategic thinking paired with creative judgment - Proven ability to develop compelling brand narratives and evaluate creative through a strategic lens
- Instinct for what “great” looks like and how to scale it
Analytical mindset with a bias for action - Comfort working with data to inform decisions, prioritize opportunities, and drive continuous improvement
- Ability to simplify complexity into clear, actionable recommendations
Exceptional cross-functional leadership and influence - Demonstrated success aligning diverse stakeholders and driving initiatives forward without direct authority
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to operate horizontally across teams
Executional rigor in a fast-paced environment - Experience leading complex, high-visibility projects with competing priorities

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
