The Opportunity
This position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You’ll Work On
Perform Various exterior grounds maintenance for plant. This includes but not limited to yardwork, mowing, roof clean up, snow removal and landscape work. These jobs require the operation of power mowers, ladders and snow removal equipment.
Assist personnel in office moves which may include furniture moving.
Installation of all types of wall hangings (Dry erase boards, bulletin boards, pictures, etc.)
Change out light bulbs and ceiling tiles.
Upkeep of building cosmetics including painting and touch up work.
Assembling office furniture such as chairs and cabinets.
Perform preventative and maintenance on lawn equipment.
Regular grounds and facilities inspections.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Prior experience in facilities maintenance or grounds maintenance
General knowledge of drywall repairs & painting
Able to use various power tools (e.g. drill & skill saw)
Good communication skills
Some PC abilities (e.g. email and Microsoft Word)

The base pay for this position is
$17.15 – $34.25/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
