The Quality & Manufacturing Supervisor leads a team of inspectors and technicians supporting microelectronic RF assembly operations. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role is responsible for supervising daily production support activities, ensuring products meet quality and delivery requirements, and fostering a safe, engaged, and high‑performing team environment.
This role partners closely with Operations, Planning, Engineering, and Procurement to prioritize work, resolve issues, and maintain smooth factory flow. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on manufacturing leadership experience, strong people management skills, and a working knowledge of quality principles in an electronics or regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support non‑exempt employees across two manufacturing shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent execution of daily work.
Lead, coach, and develop team members through clear expectations, training, performance feedback, and recognition.
Coordinate daily priorities using visual factory management tools and manufacturing systems to support production schedules and quality objectives.
Communicate production and quality status to leadership and cross‑functional partners; escalate risks and constraints as needed.
Identify and resolve routine production and quality issues to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
Exercise sound judgment to stop or adjust processes when quality, safety, or compliance risks are identified.
Support shift handoffs, daily stand‑ups, and cross‑shift coordination.
Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Participate in Lean, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
Qualifications / Requirements
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
3+ years of experience supervising or leading teams in a manufacturing environment (electronics, aerospace, medical, or other regulated industries preferred).
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience leading teams in a production, quality, inspection, or operations setting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality controls, and visual inspection techniques.
Proficiency with basic manufacturing systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook).
Preferred (not required)
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
Experience in defense or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with IPC standards, MIL‑STD standards, or similar industry specifications.
Experience using microscopes or optical inspection equipment.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with MES or other shop floor systems.
