As a Hardware Electrical Engineer at Meta, you will design, develop, and integrate electrical systems for a wide range of applications, from next-generation consumer hardware to large-scale infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including mechanical, optical, firmware, software, and manufacturing experts—to deliver impactful solutions. Your work may span the full product or system lifecycle, from early prototyping and feasibility studies to large-scale deployment.
You will be part of an environment that values technical quality, rapid iteration, and creative problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical development of highly complex systems or multiple subsystems, driving technical direction and architecture
- Define and drive electrical architecture, system integration, and technical strategy for major projects
- Lead cross-functional design reviews, resolve technical conflicts, and ensure alignment across engineering disciplines
- Drive innovation by identifying and implementing new technologies, processes, or methodologies to improve system/product performance, reliability, and features
- Oversee hardware bring-up, debugging, and support for manufacturing, assembly, deployment, or operational readiness at scale
- Evaluate and influence vendor and partner solutions, ensuring alignment with Meta’s requirements and long-term strategy
- Mentor and coach engineers at all levels
- Operate autonomously, set direction for teams, and manage priorities across multiple projects or workstreams
- Collaborate globally across distributed teams, influencing cross-organization initiatives and technical strategy
- Champion operational clarity, compliance, and specialized requirements, driving continuous improvement and best practices
