Amazon is seeking a Manager, Public Policy to develop and execute the company's federal connectivity and accessibility public policy efforts.
You will be responsible for developing and executing public policy and advocacy priorities on issues related to federal telecommunications and accessibility policy. Responsibilities will include working before relevant executive branch agencies, including the FCC and NTIA, and Congress. You will also coordinate advocacy work on these issues with consultants, trade associations, and other relevant stakeholder groups.
You will work collaboratively and transparently with Amazon business and legal teams to ensure alignment between business priorities and public policy goals. You will assess and communicate potential government activities, develop mitigation or enhancement strategies and positions, and manage and coordinate external advocacy efforts,
outreach programs, and key initiatives in concert with business objectives.
Key job responsibilities

- Anticipate challenges and obstacles that Amazon could face as the public policy landscape evolves
- Participate in relevant Washington-based industry associations
- Ensure effective use of outside consultants
- Facilitate high-level meetings with key stakeholders, including Congressional, regulatory, industry association, and partners to promote and advocate the company’s public policy priorities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 8+ years of public policy experience
- An ability and desire to travel is required
- Experience in working directly with government officials and regulatory bodies
- Experience with regulatory frameworks and policy analysis methodologies
- Experience working on connectivity and/or accessibility public policy

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
