Rate of Pay: $145,000 - $165,000
Job Duties: Design and develop medical instrument and accessories to provide clinically relevant solutions to improve patient care, and improve the user experience. Design and develop instruments and accessories that will be utilized on benchtop and ex-vivo tissue laboratory testing. Research, plan, design, verify, validate and develop mechanical and/or electromechanical products, such as metals, plastics, instruments for medical application. Utilize CAD software to create solid models, assembly models and drawings, and collaborate with internal and external partners to produce prototype and production parts. Provide hands-on troubleshooting, process and manufacturing assistance in support of a rapid development cycle and work through all phases of product development from conceptualization to mass production. Participate in case observations at Hospitals and interact with surgeons. Participate in in-house clinical procedures and activities related to procedural development.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a R&D Engineer-related occupation.
