B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years of relevant industry experience
Professional expertise in software engineering
Skilled with one or more advanced programming language such as C, C++, Java or Go
Full product lifecycle ownership mindset (design → implementation → production)
Experience with core production engineering best practices (e.g., designing for operability and scalability, adopting SLOs, eliminating toil).
Passionate about improving the team and partners you work with.
Extensive professional expertise in Traffic/Edge Engineering or Cloud Networking
Expertise and experience in developing extensions/filters for Envoy
Proven expertise with Linux network stack
Understanding of performance analysis and optimizations
Passionate about enabling internal partner teams
Passionate about contributing to open source projects such as Envoy (http://envoyproxy.io/ (http://envoyproxy.io/)) and working across a large organization to meet Apple’s dynamic traffic needs

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
