Job description
As a part of the YouTube Ads Monetization and Pricing team, you will be dedicated to powering YouTube's long-term growth. You will optimize monetization, pricing, and marketplace dynamics, ensuring a healthy balance between the needs of our advertisers, users, creators, and Google.
As a Global Product Lead for YouTube Monetization an Pricing (Feed Monetization and User Experience), you will develop and execute strategic pricing and ad inventory-management projects that translate complex market and customer needs into product requirements and pricing recommendations. You will specifically own pricing and the monetization optimizations for YouTube's Search and Home feeds. Furthermore, you will lead the launch of a new ad format(s) and manage crucial optimizations for the overall User Ad Experience and Ad Load.
In this role, you will require deep quantitative fluency and the ability to build pricing frameworks from the ground up. You will architect models for key ad formats by synthesizing inventory costs, market trends, and competitive dynamics to influence both the product roadmap and overarching monetization strategy. You will serve as a cross-functional, cross-product area leader and project manager, driving alignment between Product Management, GTM teams, YouTube Organic, and regional specialists to bring these solutions to life globally.
Responsibilities
- Accelerate monetization optimization strategies across YouTube's core discovery surfaces, specifically focusing on the Search Feed and Home Feed.
- Lead the commercialization and global launch of a new ad format(s).
- Architect and implement data-driven pricing models for all YouTube Mastheads (CPM, CPH), synthesizing inventory costs, market dynamics, and competitor pricing to optimize monetization.
- Measure and enhance advertiser perception of the user ad experience while managing critical levers like ad relevance and ad load optimizations.
- Craft and deliver compelling, data-backed narratives to secure buy-in and sign-off from executive leadership for strategic initiatives and official market rate cards.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in product management, marketing, management consulting, or project management in technology.
- Experience working with Product Management or Engineering teams, executive leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building quantitative models and performing data analysis (e.g., using Spreadsheet Software/Sheets, SQL, or dashboards) to generate strategic recommendations.
- Understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, YouTube's ad products in particular, with specific knowledge of Feed-based advertising, Search monetization, or high-impact awareness formats (like Masthead).
- Ability to lead projects from goal to completion in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent strategic and analytical skills, with a track record of identifying root-cause issues (such as ad load balance) and formulating creative solutions.
- Excellent executive communication and influencing skills, with experience presenting complex topics to executive leaders.
The application window will be open until at least May 22, 2026. This opportunity will remain online based on business needs which may be before or after the specified date.
