Job description

Work cross-functionally with multiple teams to understand the requirements for shipping OS software. Provide daily prioritized information to the build and integration team on upcoming releases. Own the responsibility for delivering beta software for Mac, iPhone, iPad, HomePod, Apple TV, Apple Watch to customers and developers. Support engineering teams to execute secrecy initiatives for OS releases to safeguard Apple’s most innovative and disruptive Technologies. 

Converge on developer seeds and customer shipping software by managing source changes for nightly builds 
Identifying, escalating, and communicating key issues 
Preparing operating systems for testing prior to deployment 
Driving for resolutions on build issues with engineering teams 
Performing secrecy leak-prevention QA for operating systems prior to release 
Releasing software to seed users and customers 

BS/MS EE/CS/CE or equivalent
Exceptional verbal and written communication

Build and Release Engineering/Release Management experience highly desirable
Project management experience in software development life cycle highly desirable
Unix programming/scripting experience highly desirable

The SWE team is looking for an individual with strong OS fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a desire to join an amazing team who ships OS’ that drive Apple’s products. We’re looking for people who enjoy designing solutions to solve problems and an appetite for continuous improvement.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $112,500 and $187,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
