Job description

As a UX Writing & Content Design Manager, you will drive this vision by defining product strategy, mitigating complexity, and conceptualizing ecosystem-level UX. You are a visionary leader, a systems-level thinker, and a fierce advocate for both users and your team.
The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.
Responsibilities
- Influence stakeholders across organizations to gain support for design strategies.
- Lead the development of innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems.
- Establish a holistic design process, design system, or design language across teams or products.
- Own improvements in design based on UX testing and stakeholder input and provide guidance and expertise to effectively engage stakeholders on product design to achieve product goals.
- Manage project priorities, including finding and aligning resources effectively to help with the design project work.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in UX writing, content design, technical writing, writing, editorial, marketing, or related, as well as leading content strategy projects.
- 5 years of management experience leading content and conversation design projects and teams.
- 3 years of work experience working with executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:
- 12 years of writing, editorial, marketing, or UX writing experience in an agency setting and interacting with executive leadership.
- 7 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional technology organization.
- Experience defining ideal model and agentive AI experiences, and translating those ideals into concrete product direction and improvements.
- Experience working on multimodal user experiences.
