Amazon Web Services (
AWS) Automotive and Manufacturing team is looking for an experienced and motivated technologist who possesses a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will partner with some of the world's largest automotive and manufacturing firms,
AWS Sales and other
AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of
AWS services.
This role will drive
AWS technology adoption and revenue growth across assigned automotive and manufacturing customers. As a trusted customer advocate, the Senior Solutions Architect will work directly with leading industrial manufacturers as they reimagine how things are designed, built, and operated. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers navigate architectural decisions across connected vehicle platforms, digital twins, smart factory/Industry 4.0 initiatives, supply chain optimization, and software-defined vehicle (
SDV) strategies.
As a key member of the Account Team, you will guide customers' architectural choices across use cases involving IoT, edge computing, high-performance computing (
HPC), security, data lakes and analytics, AI/ML, simulation, and robotics — as well as foundational services spanning compute, storage, and networking. You will provide technical design guidance and thought leadership, contribute to best-practice knowledge sharing within the broader
AWS Solutions Architecture community, and help develop reusable industry reference architectures.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology architecture or consulting. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
What We Are Looking For
• Enjoy working with large, global customers. You will have a passion for connecting with, educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions for automotive and manufacturing customers.
• Have a strong understanding of large-scale, mission-critical solutions in the automotive and manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a systems engineer/architect in the automotive or manufacturing sector. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create solutions built on
AWS.
Key job responsibilities
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned Automotive and Manufacturing accounts, engaging Director-level engineering leaders and senior technical stakeholders.
• Architect and design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions for industry-specific workloads including connected vehicle data platforms, digital twin environments,
MES/SCADA cloud integration, and smart factory deployments.
• Bridge IT and OT — connect traditional enterprise IT architectures with operational technology (OT) environments on the shop floor and at the edge, leveraging
AWS IoT, edge, and hybrid services.
• Develop and execute technical account plans aligned with customers' business objectives and digital transformation roadmaps.
• Lead proof-of-concept engagements and architectural reviews to accelerate customer adoption and de-risk production deployments.
• Provide customer feedback to
AWS service teams and advocate for industry-relevant feature development.
• Contribute to industry thought leadership — create reference architectures, blog posts, and reusable technical assets for the vertical.
• Present at
AWS events (re:Invent, Summits, industry conferences) and participate in customer technical workshops.
• Share knowledge and best practices with peers in the Solutions Architecture community, contributing to technical community development.
• Stay current with industry megatrends (electrification,
SDV, Industry 4.0, sustainability) and connect them with
AWS capabilities to drive customer outcomes.
