Join Us as a Senior Laboratory Coordinator – Make an Impact at the Forefront of Innovation
The Senior Laboratory Coordinator serves as shift leader providing oversight of the daily operations of the lab, directing the workflow and delegating tasks to lab staff. Ensures that all areas of the lab have appropriate coverage; that samples are properly processed and documented in an efficient and accurate manner. May ship specimens according to internal and external safety regulations.

What You'll Do:
• Prevent and minimize the occurrence of protocol violations and ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Ensure safety requirements are adhered to when handling and processing samples. Pack and ship specimens to clients and/or other labs as needed, ensuring safety and security per organization policies and other safety regulations.
• Perform all duties of a blood harvester, blood runner, and urine monitor as needed. Perform quality control of output and deliverables.
• Act as Lab liaison on specific studies as directed. Interact with Study Teams, Project Managers, and other non-lab staff to assure that protocol requirements for the lab are being followed. Occasionally communicate with clients, explaining the various lab functions and activities.
• Ensure that all areas of the lab are set up and prepared for the next work day. Determine what is needed and assign setup tasks to junior staff.
• Act as a point of contact in the absence of the lab supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Serve as a mentor and trainer.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
• Technical positions may require a certificate
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 4 years)
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of human physiology and metabolism
• Thorough knowledge of lab instrumentation and testing procedures
• Attention to detail and organizational capabilities
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under constant exposure to high pressure, intense concentration
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
