Summary:
The National Sales Director, Hematology reports directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Hematology. The incumbent is responsible for leading the customer-facing strategy and ensuring its successful implementation to drive business growth across the Hematology portfolio, including TECVAYLI, TALVEY and DARZALEX. This role will lead a team of Region Business Directors, District Managers, Field Operations and specialty sales professionals to deliver an integrated customer experience with a focus on excellence in execution across a large, complex and highly visible business.
You will be responsible for:
Strategic planning and tactical sales execution for the Hematology portfolio field team, ensuring clear priorities and consistent execution across TECVAYLI, TALVEY and DARZALEX.
Collaborating with cross-functional brand teams and critical business partners to develop and execute national sales strategies and tactics across the Hematology portfolio (TECVAYLI, TALVEY and DARZALEX), aligning to enterprise priorities and market dynamics.
Collaborating with senior management to translate Hematology portfolio strategies into actionable tactics for the sales force and develop standards across regions to measure success.
Working with Region Business Directors and key field business partners to develop regional field business plans that will meet or exceed Hematology portfolio objectives and support sustainable growth in a large, multi-product business.
Collaborating with business partners to develop, communicate and implement portfolio sales forecasts, sales call plans, key account plans, and sales incentive plans; ensuring appropriate resource allocation and coverage models across products and customer segments.
Analyzing sales and operations data across the Hematology portfolio to monitor performance, identify drivers and barriers, and develop corrective plans to improve sales force effectiveness and efficiency.
Analyzing financial metrics of sales organization effectiveness, including budgeting, allocation and deployment of resources, and return on investment strategies commensurate with a large, multi-brand business.
Creating a high-performance work environment that holds accountability at all levels in the organization through empowerment, involvement and collaboration.
Fostering an environment where new ideas, alternative strategies and innovative thinking are valued and explored, while remaining compliant to Company standards.
Leading talent development in the Hematology sales organization: Drive mastery of requisite skills (business, selling skills, therapeutic understanding, territory management, etc.) by partnering with Sales Training to identify key areas for development and build appropriate curriculum. Ensure the field force has completed appropriate training to meet J&J training standards and compliance requirements. Provide people management leadership across multiple levels of the sales organization, partnering across US Hematology, Innovative Medicine and with HR.
Ensuring collaboration and alignment of execution efforts across Hematology sales organizations, as well as Key Accounts, Medical Affairs, Hematology Clinical Educators, Field Reimbursement, Area Business Specialists, Though Leader Liaisons, Market Access, and other customer-facing teams
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA is preferred.
Biology/Scientific background is preferred.
Strong Sales and Marketing experience including, a minimum of 10 years business experience (Sales, Marketing, Key Account Management) of which at least 5+ years of demonstrated marketing experience is required.
US in-line experience on multiple brands, at various stages, in the product lifecycle, including product launch experience is required.
Demonstrated financial and business acumen required.
Proven experience working with Marketing agencies, Key Opinion Leaders, Hospitals/Treatment Centers, GPOs/contract employees is required.
Hematology, Solid Tumor or Oncology experience is preferred.
Travel up to 50% (anticipate it's mostly domestic, though can be international as well).
