Apple's Machine Translation is embedded into several products across the iOS, iPadOS, macOS and watchOS ecosystems: from Translate App that is used to communicate across different languages, to Safari full webpage translation, to system-wide translation that allows you to quickly translate any highlighted text into over 20 languages.
In this role, you’ll be directly responsible for Machine Translation’s client features and test automation. You’ll be collaborating closely with product engineering and modeling teams in order to come up with the right functional and non-functional test plans along with developing the automation and frameworks to validate our releases meet the highest standards of quality.
Participate in defining testing strategies and methodologies to enhance overall software quality
Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues swiftly and effectively
Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and generate detailed reports on software quality and product health
Continuously improve test automation coverage by integrating new tests and refining existing ones
Collaborate closely with developers, engineering program managers, and partner QA teams to comprehend feature requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
Be a great teammate with the ability to mentor peers and take on leadership roles within the team
5+ years of experience in software testing with strong focus on test automation
Fluency in Swift, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages
Experience client-side and UI testing using technologies like XCTest, XCUITest, or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
Experience with developing mobile test automation and frameworks
Deep understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, QA processes
Proven experience in software QA creating test plans for new products and features
Excellent communication skills are a requirement due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams, management, and other organizations within Apple

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
