Job description

The mission of the team is to develop advanced realtime audio capabilities in Gemini and deliver the models for consumer and enterprise use-cases.Artificial intelligence will be one of humanity’s most transformative inventions. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop new audio capabilities or improve existing ones during different stages of model development that could include pretraining or post-training. 
  • Iterate on training recipes.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience in different stages of model development.
  • Experience with audio processing such as, but not limited to speech generation or speech recognition, or text to speech.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
