AI is fundamentally reshaping cloud economics. At the center of this shift is token economics, the emerging discipline of understanding, measuring, and optimizing the cost of every token consumed across models, applications, and business functions. The
AWS Billing organization is uniquely positioned to help customers navigate this transformation, providing the cost visibility, allocation models, and optimization tools that make AI spending as manageable as any other workload. We're building the financial intelligence layer that enables enterprises to scale AI investment with confidence.
As Senior Product Manager - Technical, you'll own the
product strategy and execution for FinOps for AI across
AWS, defining how customers understand, allocate, monitor, control, and optimize their AI and ML spend. You'll be at the forefront of token economics, building the cost management primitives that give finance teams, ML platform engineers, and business leaders visibility into the true cost of their AI workloads. As AI workloads shift from
experimentation to production, you'll define how organizations budget, forecast, and govern token consumption at enterprise scale.
In this role, you'll drive the vision for making
AWS the platform for AI cost intelligence, define the
product strategy that governs how AI workload costs are measured, attributed, and optimized, and own the frameworks that connect token-level spending to business outcomes. You'll evaluate emerging patterns in AI infrastructure and determine how billing and cost management must evolve to serve them. You'll pioneer the tooling that transforms token economics into a manageable, optimizable discipline for every enterprise running AI on
AWS.
You'll collaborate with engineering teams, applied scientists, and product teams across
AWS (including Bedrock, AgentCore, SageMaker,
EC2, and Trainium/Inferentia) to ensure customers have end-to-end cost visibility and optimization for their AI workloads. This role requires deep technical understanding of AI/ML infrastructure economics, token pricing models, cloud billing systems, and enterprise financial planning, combined with the ability to influence across organizational boundaries to deliver a unified cost experience.
If you're passionate about making AI economically sustainable at scale and excited about defining the discipline of token economics for the world's largest cloud, this role offers the opportunity to shape
AWS's FinOps for AI strategy from the ground up.
