NAS) is looking for a solution-focused, organized, self-starter to join our People Experience & Technology (
PXT) team as a Principal HR Business Partner supporting clients in the Amazon Fashion & Fitness (F2) Tech organization.

As the Principal HR Business Partner for F2 Tech, you will serve as a strategic leader and trusted advisor to senior engineering and science leadership across this highly technical, innovation-driven organization. This role demands an HR leader who thrives in a fast-moving, technically complex environment, bringing both the business acumen to translate technology roadmaps into people strategies and the executive presence to influence at all levels. In this position, you will partner with senior F2 Tech leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational growth, drive people effectiveness, and accelerate technical innovation. The Principal HRBP must operate with high autonomy, establishing and executing long- and short-term people strategies while maintaining a hands-on approach and engaging effectively with professionals at all levels. You will bring strong analytical skills to translate business plans and goals into human resource capabilities, help leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations, and drive accountability for global initiatives including workforce planning, org design, employee relations, and culture.
Key job responsibilities
• Partner with F2 Tech senior leaders to develop talent strategies that accelerate technical innovation and business growth while cultivating an engaging, inclusive, and high-performing engineering and science culture.
• Drive organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, talent management, and skills assessment across F2 Tech's engineering, applied science, and product technology functions.
• Coach senior leaders and managers in career development, leadership effectiveness, and management practices—with particular attention to the unique dynamics of building and retaining world-class technical talent.
• Develop and implement comprehensive people plans and solutions that deliver measurable results and sustain an environment where engineers, scientists, and technical professionals can thrive, grow, and do their best work.
• Lead talent strategies for both traditional software engineering roles and emerging AI/ML-focused positions, ensuring F2 Tech attracts and retains top technical talent in a competitive market.
• Analyze business metrics and recommend systemic improvements that elevate organizational health, team engagement, and operational effectiveness across F2 Tech.
• Partner with the business to lead talent reviews focused on succession planning, employee growth and development, and organizational health priorities.
• Leverage data and organizational health metrics to drive informed decisions, surface critical people insights, and keep senior leadership informed with clarity and candor.
• Partner with the central HR Partner organization to effectively enable managers, address employee relations matters, and drive consistent outcomes across F2 Tech.
• Lead or contribute to cross-team and cross-organizational
NAS PXT projects and goals, representing F2 Tech's unique technical context in enterprise-wide HR initiatives.
• Drive innovative approaches to workforce planning for AI/ML talent, including specialized compensation strategies, development programs, and retention frameworks for high-demand technical roles.
- Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a related field, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ months of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- • 5+ years of work experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role, including demonstrated expertise in performance management, change management, and employee communications
- • Experience partnering with and coaching senior leaders and managers, with strong talent assessment capabilities in complex, matrixed organizations
- • Experience with data-driven HR practices and a proven track record of influencing through analytically grounded recommendations
- • Experience managing
cross-functional projects and initiatives with demonstrated ability to deliver results in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Experience coordinating and leading large-scale Digital or Global IT Transformation initiatives
- Bachelor's degree, or experience in leadership work as an HR generalist, preferably in a high tech environment
- Experience with specific knowledge of human resource theory, functions and practice, performance appraisal systems and staff development
- • Experience supporting technology or engineering organizations, with an understanding of the unique talent dynamics, development pathways, and cultural nuances of software development and applied science teams
- • Experience assessing management and executive talent, with a track record of building senior leadership capability and succession depth in technology organizations
- • Demonstrated experience with or understanding of AI/ML workforce planning, including talent acquisition strategies for data scientists, applied scientists, and
machine learning engineers
- • Understanding of AI/ML implications for workforce planning and the ability to partner with leaders on the people strategy aspects of GenAI transformation
- • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex people insights clearly to diverse audiences—from individual contributors to VP-level executives

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
