About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
About the Role
Salesforce is at a defining moment in the AI era — and Agentforce & Headless 360 are leading the charge. We are looking for a visionary VP, Agentic Strategy to help shape the long-term strategic direction of our agentic AI portfolio. This leader will sit at the intersection of market intelligence, corporate development, and go-to-market strategy — driving decisions that will define Salesforce's competitive position in the autonomous AI space for years to come.
This role serves as a strategic integrator across Salesforce's full portfolio, dismantling organizational silos to architect a unified, market-facing strategy. The VP will partner closely with Corporate Strategy and business unit leaders to drive high-impact pivots across Sales, Product, and Engineering.
What You'll Do
Market Sizing & Competitive Intelligence
Conduct rigorous TAM/SAM/SOM analysis for agentic AI markets, including autonomous agents, orchestration layers, vertical AI applications, and adjacent spaces
Develop and maintain competitive positioning frameworks across key agentic AI players and emerging disruptors
Synthesize market signals, analyst research, and customer insights into actionable strategic perspectives
Long-Term Identity & Platform Strategy
Define Salesforce's long-term approach to agent identity and monetization — articulating a clear, differentiated point of view on where we play and how we win
Support the strategic evolution of H360 and Slack as core platforms in the agentic ecosystem
Develop multi-year strategic narratives that connect product direction, GTM motion, and corporate positioning
Strategic Pivots & Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Corporate Strategy and OU (Operating Unit) leads to develop and operationalize key strategic pivots across Sales, Product, and Engineering
Translate market and competitive insights into concrete recommendations for leadership decision-making
Act as a strategic thought partner and advisor to senior executives
Market Evaluation & M&A
Lead comprehensive market evaluations to identify acquisition, partnership, and investment opportunities in the agentic AI ecosystem
Partner with Corporate Development to assess strategic fit, competitive dynamics, and integration potential of target companies
Build and maintain a pipeline of high-potential M&A candidates aligned to the agentic strategy roadmap
What We're Looking For
Experience
12+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or venture/growth strategy roles
Deep domain expertise in enterprise software, AI/ML, and/or platform ecosystems
Demonstrated experience leading M&A evaluations, TAM analysis, and competitive positioning at a senior level
Track record of influencing executive decision-making in a matrixed, fast-moving organization
Skills
Exceptional analytical and structured thinking skills — able to synthesize complex, ambiguous information into crisp strategic recommendations
Strong financial modeling and market sizing capabilities
Outstanding executive communication and storytelling skills (written and verbal)
Ability to build trust and alignment across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Corporate Development
Mindset
Deeply curious about the future of AI and what it means for enterprise software
Comfortable operating at both 30,000-foot strategic altitude and granular analytical depth
Thrives in ambiguity and moves with speed and conviction
Collaborative, low-ego, and oriented toward outcomes over process
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in corporate strategy or business development at a major enterprise technology company
Familiarity with Salesforce's product portfolio, including Agentforce, Slack, Einstein, and Data Cloud
MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a top-tier institution
Experience working directly with or evaluating agentic AI, LLM, or autonomous systems companies
Why This Role
This is a rare opportunity to sit at the epicenter of the most consequential platform shift in enterprise software — the move to autonomous AI agents. As VP, Agentic Strategy, you'll have direct influence over how Salesforce defines, positions, and builds for the agentic era, with reach across the company's most strategic assets and executive relationships.
