Johnson & Johnson has announced plans to separate its Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone Orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The planned separation is anticipated within 18-24 months and is subject to applicable legal, regulatory, and consultation requirements.
Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following completion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes. Employment would then be governed by DePuy Synthes programs, policies, and benefit plans, with details communicated at the appropriate time.
Summary: The Senior Project Manager, Spine R&D is responsible for leading product development projects within a structured, Gate-based New Product Development (NPD) framework. This role independently manages projects of moderate scope and complexity, ensuring alignment of cross-functional teams, achievement of key project milestones, and compliance with applicable regulatory and quality requirements.
This position is responsible for end-to-end project planning and execution, including development of integrated project plans, ownership of Gate readiness activities, management of critical path deliverables, and achievement of key project milestones. The Senior Project Manager proactively identifies risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and execution challenges and partners with cross-functional teams to align mitigation strategies with project and business objectives.
Operating within a highly matrixed and regulated environment, the Senior Project Manager collaborates closely with R&D, PMO, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Clinical, and other supporting functions to facilitate effective decision-making and disciplined project execution. Through strong leadership, communication, and influence, this role applies established project management and governance practices, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and contributes to compliant, predictable product development outcomes. The Senior Project Manager may also provide guidance and share best practices with project teams and less experienced project managers as appropriate.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$92,000.00 - $148,350.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
