Job description

The Senior Program Manager will focus on launching commerce features and capabilities to build a world-class, scalable commerce platform for our growing Services business. You will need to have hands-on experience working with engineers as you explore new technologies, drive initiatives, and help build systems and features for hundreds of millions of transacting customers. You will develop tools and processes to gain efficiencies in the development and testing lifecycle. With a strong background in commerce, you will drive technical discussions with internal and external partners to implement the right solutions for our customers. The role requires a combination of program management, strong engineering background, and the ability to build reciprocal relationships across various teams within Apple Services Engineering and other Apple organizations. We are looking for someone who loves digging into details, finding patterns, and driving operational efficiencies under demanding timeframes, and in parallel, focusing on building scalable commerce platform capabilities.
Of course, strong fundamentals are expected, but you have more.
- You take responsibility; you feel a personal stake in the products you ship
- Integrity is everything to you. You handle risks and manage tradeoffs. You are a strong team player
- You thrive in uncertainty, and strive to bring order to it. You have deep wisdom and judgment. You keep your eye on the ball
- Building positive relationships comes naturally; you are aware of politics but do not get mired in them

Be the connective tissue and build strong partnerships across Engineering, Product, Design, QA, Business, and Operations to drive seamless feature delivery
Partner with Product and Business teams to ensure business objectives and requirements are documented. Facilitate reviews with Engineering and Quality teams
Lead and influence the successful delivery of complex features from concept to launch. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to design solutions, identify work streams, and develop project plans and schedules
Drive regular syncs with cross-functional teams to ensure every feature ships with quality. Keep stakeholders at all levels informed with clear program updates, proactive risk identification, and thoughtful mitigation strategies
Drive continuous innovation by championing process improvements and operational excellence, working with cross-functional teams to build consensus, and make recommendations to improve practices

BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or similar technical field
7+ years of Technical Program Management experience leading programs at global consumer software companies
Self-starter, with creative problem solving and critical thinking skills
Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects, and drive alignment across stakeholders
Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Team player with ability to navigate and thrive in a cross-functional environment
Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity
Hands on experience partnering with engineering to build and ship complex technical solutions
Ability to break up a large project into work streams, and determine dependencies

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience
Strong relationship and facilitation skills within diverse engineering and cross functional organizations
Solid track record in managing and deploying large, complex programs at scale
Prior experience with subscriptions and service-based consumer products is a plus
