The (USA) Associate Merchant supports category management by assisting with supplier negotiations, purchase order administration, and item setup for both stores and online channels. This role collaborates cross-functionally to ensure accurate product content, supports promotional activities, and leverages data analysis to inform business decisions. The Associate Merchant contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and modular assortment execution while maintaining strong vendor relationships. What you'll do...
- Support merchants in supplier negotiations and manage purchase orders for assigned categories.
- Assist in resolving supplier issues and facilitate the setup of new suppliers for stores and online channels.
- Execute customer communication and education programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance shopper experience.
- Analyze sales and category performance data to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Implement approved promotional features and modular assortment strategies across channels.
- Maintain accurate product content and search query quality to optimize online merchandising.
- Provide expert guidance on item setup, pricing, and inventory allocation decisions.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in vendor relationship management and supplier negotiations within a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data analysis and visualization tools to inform business decisions.
- Expertise in category strategy development, product assortment, and pricing to support sales and inventory goals.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with merchants, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage purchase orders, resolve supplier issues, and support item setup for both stores and online channels.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and tracking category financial performance aligned with organizational targets.
- Project management capabilities to support feature execution, modular assortment, and promotional activities.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
