Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. Job Overview
The Navigation Platform Leader is a senior marketing leader responsible for shaping and executing the global commercial strategy for DePuy Synthes’ navigation and enabling‑technology platforms. This role drives portfolio positioning, value propositions, and go‑to‑market excellence across regions, partnering closely with R&D, sales, medical education, and digital teams to accelerate adoption and sustained growth. The role offers the opportunity to influence the future of digitally enabled orthopedic surgery at scale, with direct impact on patient outcomes and surgeon experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead global commercial strategy and lifecycle management for navigation and platform‑based solutions, including positioning, segmentation, and messaging across markets.
Define and execute go‑to‑market plans in partnership with regional marketing and sales leaders to drive adoption, utilization, and revenue growth.
Translate customer, market, and competitive insights into differentiated value propositions and evidence‑based marketing strategies.
Partner with R&D, digital, and medical affairs to influence product roadmaps, launches, and platform evolution.
Lead global launch excellence, including pricing and value strategy, sales enablement, and promotional planning.
Establish performance metrics and dashboards to track commercial execution and continuously optimize outcomes.
Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance, and quality requirements across all marketing activities.
Mentor and develop marketing talent, fostering collaboration and a customer‑centric, innovation‑driven culture.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience and Skills
Required:
Typically 10-12 years of progressive marketing or commercial experience, including leadership roles, aligned to senior marketing levels in the J&J Job Catalog.
Proven experience leading global or regional marketing strategies for complex portfolios or platforms.
Strong understanding of healthcare, medical devices, or digital/surgical technologies.
Demonstrated ability to translate customer insights into impactful commercial strategies.
Experience working cross‑functionally with sales, R&D, and medical teams.
Strong analytical, communication, and executive‑level presentation skills.
Preferred:
Experience in orthopedics, robotics, navigation, or enabling surgical technologies.
Global launch leadership for capital equipment, software, or platform‑based solutions.
Demonstrated people‑leadership experience in a matrixed, global organization.
Familiarity with value‑based healthcare, digital ecosystems, and data‑driven marketing approaches.
Other:
Language: English required; additional languages preferred.
Travel: Up to ~30% domestic and international travel.
Certifications: None required.
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license required for travel, if applicable.

$150,000.00 - $258,750.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
