Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Security (
GSOC) serves as a strategic individual contributor focused on advancing Walmart’s global security operations through technology, operational readiness, and
cross-functional collaboration. This role leads to enterprise-scale initiatives involving security and safety technology deployments, strategic projects, vendor management, procurement coordination, and
GSOC infrastructure support. Responsibilities in piloting emerging technologies, managing proofs-of-concept, coordinating global stakeholders, and ensuring mission-ready operations across international environments. The position partners closely with Global Tech, Facilities, Procurement, Legal, and Security Operations to deliver scalable solutions, improve situational awareness capabilities, and strengthen operational resilience.
About the team:
The Walmart Global Security Operations Center (
GSOC) serves as an enterprise-wide hub for safety and security, delivering
real-time monitoring, intelligence, and coordinated responses globally. The team integrates advanced technology with expert analysis to identify risks early, manage incidents effectively, and support informed decision-making.
GSOC fosters
cross-functional leadership and program management, connecting teams and systems to protect people, assets, and operations. Emphasizing continuous process improvement, the team drives operational excellence and resilience, ensuring an initiative-taking and unified approach to security across the enterprise.
What you'll do:
- Lead cross-functional GSOC initiatives that enhance global security operations, operational readiness, and technology capabilities.
- Manage strategic projects involving security technologies, SaaS platforms, procurement, vendor coordination, and facilities support.
- Partner with Global Tech, Walmart International, Facilities, Procurement, Legal, and external stakeholders to implement scalable global solutions.
- Develop deployment plans, operational processes, and readiness procedures supporting business continuity and resilience.
- Guide technology pilots, integrations, and enterprise rollouts to improve interoperability and operational effectiveness.
- Serve as a technical and operational resource advancing Walmart’s global GSOC capabilities and continuous improvement efforts.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in security, security technology, and emergency management within complex organizations.
- Experience in GSOC, operations centers, or mission-critical environments.
- Ability to lead complex projects through influence rather than direct authority.
- Strong project and procurement management capabilities to support security initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, SOWs, and enterprise deployments at scale.
- Strong operational mindset focused on uptime, readiness, resilience, and execution.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to analyze data and drive strategic decisions.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
