Are you interested in leveraging your visual design skills to join a dynamic team responsible for improving public perception of selling on Amazon worldwide? The Seller External Relations (SER) team is an exceptional Visual Designer to help bring our creative to life. In this role, you will be creating a variety of digital and print assets used to engage and drive awareness of the small businesses that sell on Amazon.com.

The ideal candidate must have experience working in an iterative and collaborative process and professionally accept feedback and improve on it. In addition to strong design skills, a candidate must have strong organizational skills, web expertise, typographic skills, and acute attention to detail.

You should be comfortable engaging entry-level through executive stakeholders and working with many different types of creative professionals and creative outputs. Because the work is so varied, and fast-paced, the person in this role should possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will partner closely with a variety of peers and stakeholders such as customer research, brand strategy, content strategy, creative production, and site merchandising to achieve key strategic goals.

Key job responsibilities
Create visual designs that elevate Amazon’s partnership with small businesses across multiple online and offline channels

Understand and respond to performance data (metric tests, usability studies), to steer the direction of your creative

Understand user experience best practices for web and mobile interactions

Use current and future marketing channels to inform and delight our customers

Present and defend visual design solutions to leadership and business partners

Collaborate with the Amazon Design Community at large to ensure consistent brand use across multiple marketing channels

Grow team knowledge of best design practices and trends in web and graphic design

Work with various categories to refresh/improve Amazon’s partnership with small businesses in their categories

Leverage evolving AI tools to improve creative processes and development

A day in the life
On any given day, your schedule may involve tasks such as: creating or updating style guides, creating visual direction for campaigns and events, driving leadership approval of visual direction, supporting design production for campaigns, helping maintain our high creative bar for small business empowerment, and support providing visual art direction to partner teams.

Our team has a wide range of personalities and backgrounds, with expertise across product management, program management, product marketing, advertising, creative, and site marketing. Our team culture is built on service and obsession with our customer as well as a strong emphasis on collaboration, experimentation, and learning. - Have an online portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skills and advertising experience across a range of media and platforms, along with work that reflects your design process
- 5+ years of project/resource management working with an in-house creative agency or external agency experience
- Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time
- Experience using content management systems and content tools
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, and other applications to develop creative - Experience working in a collaborative team environment to deliver high-quality design solutions
- Pixel-perfect attention to design detail
- Work in an iterative environment, across teams and synthesize feedback from multiple stakeholders
- Passionate about creating innovative, elegant, customer-focused collaterals and how to implement them to create dynamic marketing solutions
- Understanding of information architecture, usability, accessibility, UI and UX design
- Ability to work independently to troubleshoot technical and process-related issues.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to gracefully defend your design decisions to leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
