Terms of Service
Last updated · May 7, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of applinity (the “Service”), operated by SCRIPTTHEMARKET LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under applicable law. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you submit is accurate and belongs to you.
2. The Service
applinity is a job-discovery and résumé-tailoring platform that helps engineers find open roles, tailor résumé content for individual postings, and submit applications to participating employers’ applicant tracking systems (ATSes) on the user’s instruction. The Service may evolve over time; features, supported employers, supported ATSes, and pricing may change.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
- You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized access or suspected compromise.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including applications submitted on your behalf.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (résumé, profile, preferences). You grant SCRIPTTHEMARKET LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and adapt your content solely as necessary to operate, improve, and provide the Service to you, including: parsing your résumé, generating embeddings, computing match scores, tailoring your résumé for individual postings, and submitting applications to employers when you instruct us to.
You represent that you have the right to submit your content and that your content does not infringe the rights of any third party or contain false statements.
5. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- submit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or misrepresents your identity, employment history, or qualifications;
- use the Service to spam employers or to circumvent any anti-automation, rate-limit, or eligibility control imposed by an employer or ATS;
- probe, scan, reverse-engineer, or attempt to access non-public parts of the Service or any underlying systems;
- resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or any data obtained through the Service; or
- use the Service in violation of applicable law or regulation.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we may cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.
6. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans (Browse, Pro) are billed through Stripe on either a monthly or annual cycle, as you elect at checkout. By subscribing you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method at the then-current price for each renewal period until you cancel.
- Credits. Each plan includes a monthly cap of tailoring Credits, where one Credit covers one per-job résumé tailoring run. The cap resets on the first day of each calendar month (UTC), independent of your subscription billing date.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time via the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; the Service remains available until then.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may, in our discretion, issue partial credits or refunds.
- Price changes. We may change prices at any time. We will give reasonable notice before a price change takes effect on your renewal.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (including Supabase, Anthropic, OpenAI, Stripe, Resend, and Vercel). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or for the policies of employers or ATSes to which we submit your applications.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that you will receive responses, interviews, or job offers, that any application will be successfully delivered to or considered by an employer, or that match scores or tailored content will be accurate for any purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SCRIPTTHEMARKET LLC and its officers, members, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred dollars (US$100), whichever is greater.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SCRIPTTHEMARKET LLC from any claim, demand, or damages (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time via Settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide notice (e.g., by email or in-product). Continued use after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under the law of your residence.
