The product
What is applinity?
applinity is a job-discovery and résumé-tailoring platform for engineers targeting Silicon Valley tech companies. We pull fresh roles from ~150 hand-picked companies’ ATSes (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Eightfold), match them to your résumé, and rewrite the top of your résumé for each posting so it reads to a recruiter and an ATS like it was written for that one job. Same facts, same numbers — written for one role.
How is this different from LinkedIn / Indeed / Otta?
Three things. First, we read directly from each company’s ATS, so postings are fresh and accurate (no stale aggregator copy). Second, every role is scored against your actual résumé using cosine similarity over OpenAI embeddings, then re-scored by Claude with a one-sentence rationale — not generic “skill match” heuristics. Third, we tailor your résumé to the specific job before you submit, in about 30 seconds, with a hard rule against fabrication.
Will my tailored résumé still sound like me?
Yes. The rewrite reuses your own phrasing, your own numbers, and your own systems — nothing is invented. We never add a project, language, company, or year that you didn’t put on the original. We just pick which of your real bullets to lead with and tighten them around the keywords this posting cares about. You can compare original vs. tailored side by side before you apply.
How is tailoring different from rewriting my résumé manually?
Speed and consistency. You’d spend 20+ minutes per job pasting in the description, prompting carefully, and re-checking that nothing was made up. We do all of that in about 30 seconds, with a no-fabrication rule baked into the prompt and an ATS keyword check on the output so you can see exactly which keywords landed.
What companies do you cover?
~150 hand-picked Silicon Valley companies today, and growing. Tier-1 names like NVIDIA, Stripe, Anthropic, OpenAI, Databricks, Netflix, Cloudflare, Apple. Plus high-growth: Figma, Linear, Notion, Cursor, Brex, Mercury, MongoDB, Twilio. And select hardware and semiconductors: AMD, Intel, Applied Materials. Browse the full list from the in-app Targets page once you sign up — you pick which ones you want roles from.
I want a company you don’t cover. Can you add it?
Probably yes. If the company runs on Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, or Eightfold, we can usually add it within a day. Email hello@applinity.com with the company’s careers URL and we’ll get back to you.
What ATSes do you support?
Today: Workday CXS, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Eightfold, plus Apple, Amazon, and AMD’s Jibe / Phenom. Workable and Recruitee aren’t scraped yet but are on the list. The pipeline is US-only by design — international postings are filtered out before any DB write so the feed isn’t polluted with roles you can’t take.
How fresh are postings?
Refreshed daily. Each scrape captures the listing as it appeared that morning, plus a faceted snapshot for hiring-velocity analytics. Closed roles are detected automatically and re-opened ones are reactivated.
Applying
Do I have to apply through your platform?
No. You can download your tailored résumé as a PDF and apply through whatever portal the company uses — most senior engineers prefer this. For Greenhouse-backed companies we also offer one-click submit so you can stay inside applinity. Either way, the tailoring is the same.
Does one-click apply work for every company?
Today: only Greenhouse-backed companies that have an API key registered. For the rest, you get a print-friendly tailored résumé to paste into the company’s portal, and a “Mark as applied” button to track the submission inside applinity. Lever and Ashby one-click submit are on the roadmap.
What happens after I submit?
Submitted applications land on /applications with a timeline of every event we recorded — the tailoring run, the POST outcome, any error from the ATS. From there you track the status as the recruiter moves through their pipeline.
What résumé file formats do you accept?
PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, and Markdown — up to 8 MB. We extract the text, parse it with Claude into structured experience / skills / education, and embed it for matching. The original file is kept on file in Supabase Storage; the parsed structured form is what every other feature reads from.
Pricing & credits
What’s a Credit?
One Credit covers one per-job tailoring run (or one cover-letter generation) — Claude reads the actual job description against your parsed résumé, rewrites the top 2-3 roles’ bullets, runs the ATS keyword check, and caches the result for 30 days so re-applying to the same role is free. Free includes 3 / month, Browse includes 10 / month, Pro includes 60 / month. Credits don’t roll over.
When do Credits reset?
On the 1st of each calendar month, UTC — independent of your Stripe billing date. We did it this way so annual subscribers don’t get one big pile of credits in January and nothing the rest of the year.
What’s the difference between Free, Browse, and Pro?
- Free. Last 7 days of postings, basic filters, 3 Credits / month. Good for kicking the tires.
- Browse ($15/mo or $11.25/mo billed annually). Last 30 days of postings, all filters (comp, workplace, seniority), 200 results / page, match scoring on every role, CSV export (up to 200 rows), weekly digest of new matches, starred companies + watchlist, and 10 Credits / month for occasional tailoring.
- Pro ($35/mo or $17.50/mo billed annually). Everything in Browse, plus 60 Credits / month, last 90 days of postings, Claude rescore + rationale on every role, tailored PDF export, per-role email alerts, 1000 results / page, CSV export up to 1000 rows, founder Slack access.
Can I cancel? Do you offer refunds?
Yes — cancel anytime via the Stripe billing portal (Settings → Manage). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; the Service stays available until then. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law, but reach out to hello@applinity.com if something’s gone sideways and we’ll work with you.
Do annual subscribers get the same credits as monthly?
Yes — and it’s a real reset, not a one-time annual pile. Pro annual still gets 60 Credits on the 1st of every month, just at half the per-month price.
Account & data
Where is my data stored?
Supabase (Postgres + Storage), hosted on AWS US-East. Authentication cookies and session refresh tokens are managed by Supabase Auth. Stripe handles billing data — we never see card numbers. See the Privacy Policy for the full rundown.
Do you sell my data?
No. We don’t sell personal information, we don’t share your résumé with employers you didn’t apply to, and we don’t train models on your data. The third parties we work with (Anthropic, OpenAI, Stripe, Resend, Vercel, Supabase) are processors operating on our instructions — see the Privacy Policy for the full list.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Email hello@applinity.com from your account email and we’ll delete your résumé, parsed profile, applications, and account record within 7 days. Self-serve deletion via Settings is on the roadmap.
Who can see my résumé?
Only you, plus the employers you choose to apply to (your tailored résumé is sent to their ATS at apply time). applinity staff don’t read résumés as a routine matter; access is gated and audited via Supabase RLS.
