The Opportunity
Our location in Lake Forest, IL (in Conway Park) currently has an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer in Test. This position is open with our AlinIQ informatics products in Core Diagnostics Division.
The Software Engineer in Test (SET) is responsible for leading testing efforts in automation, design, development, execution, review, and reporting of testing for our AlinIQ informatics products in Core Diagnostics. This position will lead the build out and maintenance of our automation tools, test scripts, and provide guidance to other test engineers.
What You’ll Work On
The SET will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for agile product research and development teams in automation practices.
Design test cases, script, and automate test cases for test-driven development and continuous testing for server, web, cloud, and mobile informatics products in collaboration with scrum-based cross-functional design and development teams
Design and perform manual test cases and informal testing
Design and maintain test automation framework
Identify and perform test case and test case run analysis to determine adequacy of testing, including coverage, boundary, and regression analysis
Understand the architecture, hosting infrastructure, interaction with dependency application and complete feature workflow to assess the risks around integration points before developing great test cases
Provide input to systems and applications developers on testing procedures and requirements, schedules, or potential problems
Provide test and automation leadership to testing team, including peer testing automation review, definition of criteria for testing, analyzing test results, and presenting results to developers and other stakeholders
Help organize QA activities for the project and delivery of release documentation in conformance with regulatory, security, and privacy standards for all types of testing such as functional, performance, and regression
Accountable for estimating, establishing commitments, and meeting incremental deliverables (software builds) according to plans, practices, and quality requirements
Able to apply the latest software design and development tools and techniques as required
Position represents test engineering throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
Position contributes to both the product development and the SDLC Agile process.
Position includes mentoring junior members of the team and ensuring the correct procedures and processes are being followed for both software quality and compliance.
Review code diff analysis and develop a robust regression test strategy.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum of 5 years relevant experience with 2 years’ experience in Software Quality Assurance in a regulated industry.
Experience with Microsoft Windows applications
Experience with automated testing and simulator tools
Preferred Qualifications
Understand how to Run protocols, IMS manual proficiency, inventory testing.
Understand c# and a Microsoft testing environment.
Understand manual and automated testing.
Willingness to take a proficiency test to demonstrate testing skills.

$78,000.00 – $156,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
