Amazon is seeking a Sr. Business Development Manager to join the Sports & Outdoors team. This role is pivotal in driving growth by recruiting, managing, and activating brands across North America. The ideal candidate will leverage business development expertise, category knowledge, and strong relationships to unlock new revenue opportunities, while using a solution-oriented and analytical approach to drive results.
Key job responsibilities
Drive the growth of the Sports & Outdoors brands business by recruiting, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships with leading and emerging brands.
Innovate and think outside the box to create new business strategies and unlock emerging revenue opportunities across major verticals.
Structure innovative partnership models with leagues, talent and specialty retail that expand Amazon’s brand portfolio and drive customer relevance.
Manage the sales funnel and close new business through strategic partnerships and negotiations.
Act as the primary relationship owner for brand partners, providing thought leadership and strategic guidance to maximize sales, visibility, and customer engagement.
Review strategic insights and deal proposals with senior leadership, synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity to inform category strategy and influence investment priorities.
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and high performance.
- 6+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading
cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as
Salesforce or similar software
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
- Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
