The role requires superior strategic insight, comfort with detailed financial analysis, and a solid understanding of subscription business models. The individual must possess the ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management, external stakeholders, and work with multiple teams at Apple (e.g. Finance, Marketing, Ops, Ads, and Analytics).
Oversee cost management for Apple Sports, collaborating with cost centers on budgets, financial targets, and business objectives
Conduct monthly reviews of forecasts vs. actuals to identify, investigate, and explain variations, providing actionable insights to senior management
Help ensure rights fees and payments to league partners are made on time
Analyze critical new business opportunities including sports rights for Apple TV
Help optimize the performance of Apple’s sports properties globally
Develop and own models for key strategic initiatives
Monitor industry trends worldwide to identify key market insights
Manage a variety of projects and initiatives with minimal direction
5+ years of strategy or finance experience
Deep understanding of key performance drivers for subscription, including acquisition, churn, revenue, and costs
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Familiarity with media business models and subscription dynamics
Superior strategic skills and ability to solve complex business challenges
Excellent communication skills, including presentation development and delivery
Bachelors degree
Passion for sports and streaming entertainment
Highly collaborative and team-oriented work style
Ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines, and deal effectively with pressure
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Experience in Sports or Media is a plus
Consulting or Banking experience preferred
MBA desired
