As a Project Manager on the Corporate FP&A Data Analytics team, you'll keep engineering execution and business priorities moving in step. You'll own delivery timelines, capacity planning, and risk management for a team that spans data engineering, front-end development, and AI-powered features, and keep everyone aligned on what's shipping and when. It's a delivery-and-coordination role at the center of one of Apple's internal financial-tooling efforts, making sure the analysis and reporting tools our FP&A and Investor Relations partners depend on are delivered on time and at quality.
Own the full project lifecycle from intake to delivery: scoping, estimation, execution tracking, and post-release validation.
Plan team capacity by mapping each project to the right skills (SQL/data modeling, front-end, HANA, web services, deployment, Gen AI), then assigning work in Radar around real availability, absences, and coverage gaps.
Sequence the delivery pipeline with FP&A Business and Data Analytics leadership, surfacing cross-team dependencies and delivery risks early enough to mitigate them before they block work.
Coordinate deployments, release windows, and UAT across the Data Analytics and Business teams, keeping everyone aware of upcoming releases, downtime, and changes.
Give business partners clear visibility into project health, risks, and milestones through regular reports and dashboards, and own escalations when timelines or priorities conflict.
Run the team's Agile cadence (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives), and tune the process using retrospective feedback and delivery data.
Drive follow-through on decisions and action items (tracked in Myna), and keep living documentation of team workflows, SOPs, and ramp-up guides current.
Where it helps, use generative AI to automate project-management work (status collection, progress summaries, capacity reporting), and champion those wins across the team.
7+ years in technical project or program management, or a delivery-focused role on a software or data engineering team.
BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Proficiency with Agile delivery (Scrum or Kanban), including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint goals with clear acceptance criteria.
Capacity and resource planning across concurrent projects.
Experience tracking delivery in Radar, Jira, or similar systems (with detailed investigation and bug-fix logs), and managing cross-functional dependencies, escalations, and risks.
Experience building status reports or dashboards that give leadership a clear read on delivery and risk.
Experience managing or coordinating teams with mixed skillsets across database development, web services, front-end UI, data modeling, and AI/ML.
Familiarity with HANA, SQL-based development, or similar enterprise data platforms, fluent enough to follow engineering conversations and estimate effort.
Experience using generative AI to automate project-management work like status collection, reporting, and capacity tracking.
Experience with release coordination (deployment scheduling, UAT, downtime communication, go/no-go decisions) and how CI/CD pipelines fit into release workflows.
Experience handling confidential, market-sensitive financial data within security and data-governance controls.
Domain experience in corporate finance, FP&A, BI, or financial reporting environments.
Keeps engineering and business partners on the same page, and runs the team's documentation and tracking in tools like Jira, Confluence, or Quip.
Juggles multiple concurrent work streams without dropping threads, and stays steady when priorities shift.
