Senior Technical Program Manager, GCBP PMPO

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $192000 - $279000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

• Lead highly ambiguous, large-scale programs from inception to launch. Define strategic roadmaps, align cross-functional stakeholders, and proactively mitigate systemic risks.
• Guide our operational modernization by identifying, evaluating, and scaling advanced AI tools. You will lead the implementation of these critical efficiencies across the SDLC to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Design and deploy intelligent, frictionless workflows that accelerate time-to-market, allowing our engineering partners to focus entirely on innovation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior technical leadership. Mentor junior team members and set the standard for execution, driving our mission to build a robust operational foundation.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 8 years of experience in program management.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in program management and coordinating large cross-organizational programs.
• Experience helping teams improve operational and product excellence and accessibility.
• Strong program management fundamentals on technical cross-functional projects (planning, execution, risk, stakeholder management).
• Ability to practically apply AI tools to drive productivity and solve program challenges, rather than deep ML engineering.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical groups.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
