Position: Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics
Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066
Duties: Develops data models (algorithms, approaches) for multiple projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions. Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for multiple projects. Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Collaborates with Advanced Analytics Experts to develop new data analysis techniques. Manages the development and application of advanced analytics to address unique business and technical problems, and support data-driven decision making. Makes strategic recommendations to analytics leadership based on data analysis. Supports more experienced team members with the development of data analysis strategies; participates in strategy development conversations. Collaborates with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for multiple projects for a business area, category or prototype. Interacts on a daily basis and collaborates with external business partners and vendors. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; accordingly, developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 4 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills required: Experience writing optimized SQL queries in Big Query, GCP, and Dataiku cloud data platforms for Data mining, ETL processes, and synthesizing millions of records of structured and unstructured data. Experience mining, analyzing, and interpreting data using statistical techniques, including univariate analysis, bivariate analysis, and correlation. Experience coding in an object-oriented programming language for data transformations, including Python and R. Experience developing and testing machine learning models that use Random Forest, Neural Network, XG Boost, Logistic Regression, and Gradient Boosting. Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate, analyze, and present data using the following functions: VLOOKUP, index, match, and SUMIFS. Experience creating decks using Microsoft Power point to create business case illustrating customer behavior, sales trends, and opportunities. Experience documenting the code, methodologies, and projects using GitHub, Confluence, and SharePoint. Experience providing recommendations from analytics to stakeholders. Experience ideating data science product concepts and building, testing, and putting into production end-to-end frameworks. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $141,574/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
