Job description
In this role, you will lead teams that design and operate foundational data and marketing technology platforms, partner closely with business stakeholders, and translate complex business needs into trusted systems used across the company. This position requires a strong technical foundation, deep people leadership experience, and domain understanding of marketing campaign management and analytics.
You will shape long-term platform strategy, bring AI innovations to make business processes more efficient, and surface deeper insights from marketing and customer data. A key part of this role is the opportunity to help stand up a forward-deployed engineering team — a group embedded closely with business partners to rapidly prototype, validate, and scale next-generation AI solutions. You will work cross-functionally with internal business partners, researchers, product teams, and platform engineers to drive roadmap development and delivery.
Lead with technical depth, actively engaging in business and architecture decisions, design reviews, and prototyping alongside your teams.
Define and execute the long-term strategic roadmap for the platform portfolio, incorporating emerging Gen AI technologies and evolving business needs.
Lead the agentic transformation of marketing and analytics platforms by designing and deploying AI agent workflows that automate complex, multi-step processes and reduce manual intervention at scale.
Help shape and potentially lead a forward-deployed engineering team focused on partnering directly with business stakeholders to rapidly prototype, validate, and scale next-generation AI solutions.
Collaborate closely with Worldwide Marketing business groups and other stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust, data-driven platform solutions.
Champion data engineering best practices, ensuring data integrity, quality, and efficient processing to support analytics and insights across Marcom and customer install base reporting.
Partner with business stakeholders to develop market research and customer engagement insights capabilities
Ensure the operational health, security, and compliance of the platform, establishing robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response protocols.
Drive engineering productivity through effective processes, tooling, and organizational structures that enable teams to deliver with high quality and velocity.
Represent the team's strategy and impact to senior leadership with executive presence, delivering compelling demos and clearly articulating ROI and business value.
Recruit, develop, and retain world-class engineering talent; manage and mentor engineering managers and senior technical leaders, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous growth.
10+ years of software or data engineering experience, with at least 5 years in engineering management.
Proven track record leading large-scale data platforms or enterprise software systems in a production environment.
Strong software and data engineering fundamentals and the ability to engage meaningfully in architectural and design discussions with senior engineers.
Hands-on experience with Gen AI tooling, LLM integration, or AI prototyping.
Demonstrated experience partnering directly with business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver impactful technology solutions.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively across organizational boundaries.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience in marketing technology, customer engagement platforms, or campaign management systems at scale.
Experience with large-scale analytics platforms, ETL pipelines and modern data stack technologies such as Snowflake, Spark, or equivalent.
Deep understanding of privacy, security, and regulatory requirements in data systems.
Experience building or scaling forward-deployed or embedded engineering teams that work directly with business organizations.
Track record of successfully modernizing legacy platforms while maintaining business continuity.
Demonstrated ability to lead through organizational change and ambiguity while maintaining team morale and delivery momentum.
Experience in a highly matrixed, cross-functional organization where influence is more critical than authority.
Experience leveraging Gen AI tools to accelerate software delivery, including CI/CD automation and developer productivity
